Initial Notes:

Pink-flowering Korean dogwood. Dogwoods are popular for their profuse spring flowers (actually bracts), but the native US species tend to be disease-prone. The Korean dogwoods are dogwood blight resistant, while having much the same appearance as American types. They do differ in flowering after the leaves have emerged, but the star-shaped flowers are held above the leaves, so the covered-with-blossoms effect is preserved. 'Fireworks' is distinguished by its small clustered pink bracts. To about 20'. Zone 5.
