Light yellow Shrub. Registration name: Butterball.
Origin:
Bred by Dr. Frank Leith Skinner (1950) Canada.
Class:
Shrub.
Bloom:
Light yellow. Single (4-8 petals) bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Habit:
Height of 6' (185 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 2b through 8b . Very hardy.
Ploidy:
Triploid
Parentage:
Hybrid of R. spinosissima var. altaica
Notes:
Grown in Alaska. The ploidy information was supplied by David Zlesak in March 2008, as reported on the Rose Hybridizers Forum.
