Initial Notes:

ARUNCUS dioicus(syn. Aruncus sylvester, Spiraea aruncus)
Goat's Beard (Rosaceae)
Aruncus dioicus is a useful plant to have at the back of the border, where it gives height, or in a semi-shaded area, where it gives a touch of light. Its flowers are similar to those of a Spiraea or Astilbe, but it is less fussy in its requirements, being happy in almost any position, from moist soils around pools, in shady woodland, or sunny borders. It forms a clump of woody stems with pinnate leaves, with tall spires of fluffy creamy-white flowers reaching 5' or so in summer.
Aruncus dioicus is fully hardy, to -15oC.

Sprouted easily. Have two batches about ready to transplant to garden. Have been doing fine outside for two weeks.
