Leaves are lance-shaped with saw-like teeth. Stems and undersides of leaves and veins are hairy. Lavender and purple blossoms from July through August, in dry fields and woodland openings.

Germination Instructions: 90 days @ 4ºC (40ºF), raise temps to 24ºC (75ºF) very slowly. Will place in refrigerator for stratification.
