Initial Notes:

We finally had a break in the weather, so we took advantage of it and went for a drive. Our friend Angie came with us.

Santa Gravey. This is one of the old veteran graves, and I thought it was interesting to see the various ornaments left by people. We don't have our Christmas lights down yet at home, so I suppose Santa can hang out here if he wants to.

Earlier in the day, we went by the main offices of the Longaberger Basket Company.

The Big Bear store. Actually, Big Bear closed the stores in our town, but a local person re-opened a grocery store in its place called "Little Bear". I don't know if they're going to change the sign or not. The old neon sign is burned out, save the last two letters; at night it slowly flashes AR....AR....AR....

STOP! Look at the Courthouse!

Okay, now go and get closer so you can see the Courthouse better.

The old Pennsylvania Railroad station, backed by a lovely full moon. Since it ceased being a railroad station, the building's been used as a restaurant and several other things. Now it's offices for a philanthropic foundation which does a lot in the community.

This was taken on night picture mode with flash. The flash went off at the beginning of the long exposure, then the shutter stayed open and allowed ambient light to also be exposed. The result is a crisp image, plus the softer background showing up.

This shot I took on the same night mode, only this time I panned the camera to the left just after the flash went off. The resulting streaks of light from the background lights was pretty neat, I thought.

On this night exposure, just after the flash fired, I zoomed in on the stop sign while the shutter was still open.

Macro of some flowers, taken with flash. The background was very distant, and so was completely blacked out since the flash was calibrated to illuminate the foreground close to the lens.

A granite gravestone I shot in black and white (greyscale). I then reduced it to 2 colors (black and white).
