'Chanted', SDB, Blyth, 1990: This little iris comes from Australian hybridizer, Barry Blyth. He (and family members) have introduced some very nice irises. This one has an outstanding color combination in pink, mauve & fawn. The soft blue beards add to its appeal.

This is my first 2007 shot of Chanted, and it follows two days of thunderstorms, high winds & tornado watches. Needless to say it looks like Chanted just got out of a cold shower (literally). Her petal edges clearly show the effects of bad weather, and this spring has not been lacking in weather extremes!

This is the second SDB to bloom in 2008 following 'Firestorm. And I noticed several clumps with lots of buds that will be opening soon; probably all at the same time. A must have for the SDB collector!
