This seedling first bloomed on May 11, 2005. Its pod parent is Sun Puppy which is yellow; pollen parent is unknown; However, I suspect 'Hustle' a nice Australian SDB which is planted nearby, and has a rich burgundy color. What surprised me is the red purple color coming from a yellow line. It is not especially pretty, and I'm still trying to remember WHY I kept it, but I did!

This photo probably explains why I kept it: It is an unusual color coming from a yellow parent, and the lighter colored standards show a blue cast with noticeable veining. The white beards are a surprise too.

The beards and a little more detail are shown in this profile view. The blue influence can also be seen.

I just located a picture of the suspected pollen parent for this seedling. It is 'Hustle', SBD, Blyth, 1997. But I cannot be sure, even though this is the only dark colored SDB nearby. Insects and wind have a way all their own in nature.
