'Yaquina Blue', TB, Schreiner, 1992: Schreiners describe this iris as a deep marine blue, and I have enough trouble just knowing "Blue" from "Purple" and "Violet". I am not good at colors, since there are so many variations in shades. I try instead to let the pictures 'describe themselves'.

This first picture is an eye-to-eye close-up in dappled shade just before noon. Even in the part shade the beauty of this iris is clearly seen.
