'Williamette Mist', TB, Schreiner, 2001: Personally I feel this is one of Schreiners' finest iris achievements ever in this type of color pattern. When I first saw it in the catalog its color was a much lighter hew of blue, but still a very beautiful iris. Was I ever pleasantly surprised when it first bloomed in my garden! The catalog picture cannot compare with the distinct, bold, clear color of it growing 'for real' in the row. It is a super grower on tall 42" stems and as much as an inch across at the base.

I didn't need to bend over far to get this eye-to-eye close-up. And, I cannot say enough on the merits of this iris; its color, markings and ruffles are all positive attributes. This will include all of its good strong growth and bloom habits!

A profile view adds to the beauty of this iris; the colors, the ruffles and those beautiful blue beards!

And unfortunately, in this shot it rained all day with heavy cloud cover. But even in bad weather it looks good.
