'Vanity', Ben Hager, R. 1974). Sdlg. T2597C. TB 36" (91 cm) E-L.: Mr. Hager was onto something when he came up with this iris! Nothing but exquisite beauty all dolled up in soft baby pink. I've grown this iris over 10 years, and it grows and blooms so well I've put it in one of the perennial borders.

Vanity is blooming here in a mixed perennial bed in dappled shade. A fresh bud is poking up under her right 'arm'. This iris now qualifies to lbe listed as 'historic' since it is over 30 years since introduction in 1975.
