When I ordered this iris in 2004, I wondered why it was named using the word 'awesome'. When it bloomed in 2005, then I knew why! It is such an enormous flower! I had kept an eye on the buds, and ran out at first light to get some pictures. Shown below is what I saw.

The lighting is better in this picture, showing a little more detail. Nice all the way around!

Had I waited a little later in the day, the standards would have been more open. Note the FOUR falls.
