This is the southern most iris garden on the property, therefore the name. It is nearby the house (50 ft.), and is handy for easy access. This is the garden where all the iris seedlings get started, and many new irises begin their journey. It has expanded since this picture in 2004 to almost double in size (my aching back!).
Entries and Updates

I began this garden several years ago as only a couple small rows of irises. Since this picture in 2004, it has doubled in size, and now stretches almost halfway to the tool shed behind the garage. The new addition is used strictly for seedlings; and I'll be sure to post updated photos when May rolls around.

These are newly emerged iris seedlings, barely 1-1.5" in height. Most of these are SDB's, and a few 'keepers' are shown in the "SDB Seedling" category. Others have formed nice clumps, and should bloom this spring (2006).
