I have grown this lily for several years and never tire of its large fragrant trumpets. It blooms here usually after July 4th, depending on weather conditions, and grows on occasion to 6' in height; however, the 'norm' is about 36-48". I have noticed some color variations from bulb to bulb. It is very dependable and completely hardy here.

This is a close-up shot of a single bloom which can measure up to 8+ inches; however I get most blooming at 6-7". When they grow tall, at more than 4-5', they definitely need staking here due to summer storms and their weight on the stems.

In my initial comments I mentioned color variations. This picture show the interior color almost the same as the outside. Usually the color is white inside the petals. This is the only bulb (out of about 20) that blooms this way, and I noticed it accidentally when observing the different shades.
