palmbob's Journal: A macu Aloe maculata front east planter strip

  • Member: palmbob
  • Journal: Default
  • Category: Aloes
  • Status: planted in ground at new home

Initial Notes:

Put this mail order near Aloe striata (near porch)- mostly shady place, but since similar thought it would make a good comparison. Soil sort of moist there. Leaves of this and second mail order plant were nearly non-existent (obviously shrink and fall off when not watered well).

One of two plants (other looks identical)- turns out this is same as A saponaria... why I ordered two of a plant that is growing all over here and I can get for free, who knows. I am not smart I guess.

for being named after spotting, this spotted species is one of the least impressively spotted of all the spotted aloes.
