This is a place to put pictures I have not yet classified, documented or found any other place to put them. This spot will be considered temporary since many of these will eventually be deleted or placed somewhere else.
I have edited this slot today, June 6, 2008 deleting some of the far outdated pictures. This will now be placed into the "Ongoing" status with pictures changing as time permits.

This is a picture I took after a thunderstorm had damaged the stems of the iris, 'Thunder Spirit'. It looked so bad, I trimmed off broken stems, staked with bamboo and shot this picture a day later. I had always tried to capture the true color of this iris, and as bad as it may look, the color is accurate! I had tried countless times to get the right color, but because of sun, wind and other factors it always turned out wrong. I think this is (possibly) one of Schreiner's best iris in this color class; I call it an 'eggplant' shade of color. As bad as this picture is with bamboo and jute twine 'fixes', it is a very desirable late blooming iris.
This iris no longer lives here. I have given it away (2007) and with regrets. But with 250 other cultivars to keep track of they all cannot stay! Also with my hybridizing efforts there are scores of seedlings to keep up with as well. I'll hang on to this marginal picture for awhile longer.

This picture is from June 2, 2008. It is one of the rest stops I occasionally use during coffee breaks. It is a semi-private spot where I can sometimes plan or just reflect on life in general.

This is what I have labeled the "North Iris Garden".
