I've only recently taken interest in I. ensata, and they are a beautiful species. They are relatively easy to grow, but must be grown in reasonably moist soil with an acidic ph level of 5.6 to 6.5. They cannot be allowed to dry out.

I bought this one without a name tag, thinking it would not matter. However, any future plants will come from only reputable sources with lots of identification. Still beautiful without a name! It reminds me of pictures I've seen of 'Ruby King', but I cannot be sure.
