Nice in late spring, adding a lot of needed color. This is what I refer to as a 'generic' orange poppy since they are so plentiful everywhere. Foliage goes dormant in late summer, but new growth is often seen emerging in early fall. Seems to spread by rhizomes beneath the soil, and a few soon becomes a multitude.
