KITTY KAY: (Keith Keppel, R. 2002). Sdlg. 92-102G. TB 37" (94 cm) ML. "Heavily ruffled orient pink (M&P 1-B-8), F. slightly lighter (1-AB-7) below beard; style arms peach (9-A-5); beards pale pink (2-A-8) at end, remainder scarlet vermilion (2-I-12). Coming Up Roses X 89-29G: (Social Event x Femme Fatale)., Keppel 2002." No picture currently available.
Update May 27, 2007: Although Keppel produces some pretty nice pink irises this isn't one of them. It is light years behind Happenstance, and is quite temperamental in its bloom habits. I have waited three years to see a bloom on this iris, and finally got one this season!
EDIT 5/22/08: This year will be the grande finale for 'Miss Kitty'; She just doesn't bloom well in Indiana! (At least not out here on the prairies!) And I add growth habits are very poor here as well.

Although nice, it's not great; and certainly no match for Happenstance! I listened three years to all the hyperbole, and now I can honestly say, "Why all the fuss"?

I must quote an unknown author; "What good is another pretty face if it cannot perform"? Pretty? Yes! Performance? NO!
