Initial Notes:

Family: Amaryllidaceae. Genus: Galanthus. Species: nivalis. Very, very early; in some years it has bloomed here in February, and then in spite of freezes and snow.

First noticed growth this year on March 10. Even at this early time, buds have already formed. Updates to follow.

With below normal temperatures and cloudy/rainy/snowy days I'm surprised to see this little plant growing and actually blooming! With that said, it seems persistent to withstand the bitter March cold. This is an update of the photo of March 11th above.

Finally a full day of sunshine and warm temperatures. These conditions opened the blooms finally.
