I can't remember when or how I got this little flower. However, a FEW over the years have multiplied into MANY! I've read these are native to Asia Minor, however they must have been introduced to North America sometime in the early 1800's. Old farmsteads seem to have these naturalized in yards and lawns. Dainty white star-shaped flowers bloom on wirey stems (6") in mid to late spring here. Foliage appears as soon as the ground thaws, and dies back after flowering. Mine have tended to migrate out of their original places, and seem to be somewhat invasive like grape hyacinths.
