This is another crab apple which I bought many years ago as a "balled and burlapped" nursery speciman. For the first five years it did nothing but GROW! The literature stated it would reach 20-25 feet in height with about as much spread. I took all that into consideration when planting it, but my goal was to see some flowers! After six years I made a decision to remove it with a chainsaw if flowers were not forthcoming. To my surprise, the 'chainsaw threat' worked! It has bloomed beautifully since.

These pictures are from this past week, and it is literally covered with vibrant pink blooms and tons of bees.

Another photo taken at eye level. The fruits are small three quarter (3/4) inch apples which fall in late autumn. Another picture showing a wide view will be posted later.
