Even though it's yellow, it was worthy of at least consideration for holding over another year. It caught my attention as a perky, kind of cheerful little iris; the form and pale lavender beards were also noted. Height is 13" with four stems. (Parentage: Gentle Grace X Chubby Cheeks.)

An untouched, un-enhanced photo: Personally I feel color enhancement is a gross deception an anyone's behalf! It serves no purpose in the evaluation of an iris or any other plant for that matter. Lighting conditions are another matter, and I know beyond a reasonable doubt these conditions can affect the color spectrum in photography. Whenever possible, I try to adjust ISO settings to compensate for bright, intense sunlight as well as heavy, dark overcast conditions. These factors are a never-ending learning process, and for the hobbiest (like me) it can be a challenge.
