I purchased this at home depot in a 3 gallon pot for $19.99 in April 2006 .The tag said Kalmia 'Tinkerbelle' and nothing else. I knew I wanted this variety for it's compact habit. It was the last one left, so I scooped it up.
It's planted under a low window, along the foundation. I wanted an evergreen, but this appealed to me because it also has showy flowers.
