Inherited. Was much larger and a prolific and beautiful bloomer til several canes died back about 2 years ago. Winter? Rose borers? Cut back to about 2-3 ft. high, and it's starting to come back now. Still, it's a large crown with only a few good canes left. Likely will need replacing.

Sprayed with fungicide/insecticide as a precaution due to large number of canker worms around.

Cut off old dead cane to the base. Took cutting to try to root. Placed further down bed and did my best to shade it. So far so good (8/18/06).
