Initial Notes:

Purchased 3 in gallon containers from Lowes about 3 years ago. Never bloomed. Winter dieback this year (no cream/green as opposed to previous years). Not sure what's wrong with this. Middle one has baby attached which could be separated and transplanted. Foliage is pretty, though.

Entries and Updates

Fertilized with Hollytone after checking the soil with the meter (soil was highly alkaline). I also cut back all the dead stems about 2 weeks ago, and it's filling out nicely now. Leaves are not very variegated...many solids.

Filled out since I cut out the dead wood. Still no buds. This fall or early next year I should move these to shadier area. Too much sun is likely a problem. Get soil tested, too?

Keeping it watered more frequently, and it is looking good. Center one has lots of "babies"? which can maybe be moved.

Mulch with compost.
