Initial Notes:

Got this nice looking grey cactus at Rose Bowl swap meet... thought it looked like something else I had, but many of these look alike to me. Put in south, middle side of planter 12, where it will get minimal sun in mid summer, but shouldn't get dripped on in winter and still get sun.

fried a bit Hot July... was surprised as the brown ones seem more resistant to frying.. but guess if they are not used to sun, color matters not.

doing OK now, no burn, and looks basically perfect

sank down with soil sinkage out of view, particularly since larger, columnar cacti nearby started to lean over and grow on top of it... so replanted in this pot (on left)
