Initial Notes:

I have found very little (if anything) written on this peony. I've had it for about six years, and ordered it directly from Dutch Gardens. The only thing I know for sure is: The name listed above in the heading is EXACTLY the spelling on the bag and packing slip when it arrived. Of course all shipments from Dutch Gardens come from their New Jersey location. From what I've gathered (unconfirmed) it is a French hybrid from around 1925-1930. It is a very beautiful color of soft pink and is very fragrant. It grows well and blooms beautifully.

This is about as open as they get; they are very showy, fragrant and exceptionally nice!
