In mid summer our baptisia was devastated by nondescript caterpillars. A Dave's Garden friend told me the benefit would be swallowtail butterflies later in the season. They arrived right on cue, and loved the false dragon head flowers.

I found a hurt polka-dot wasp moth and since it couldn't survive on its own, I decided to help it and I take her out everyday to visit the flowers. She can hover and her wing is crinkled. Ashton age 9. I like to call myself a junior entomologist or my teacher calls me a naturalist.
