By CritWe have an ugly underground storm shelter in the back yard. I decided to make a rock and flower garden, with fountains and yard items to make it more eye appealing.
By CritApril showers? My home garden in the midst of a late April snowstorm of 6". Pretty good snow for Northeast Oklahoma in April.

By dorris544This is a mosquito plant. Most grow about 2-3 feet but I don't know what kind it is but it is different. I contacted DG to find out what kind it is and I was shocked that I can't seem to find out anything about this plant. The flower pods each have about 3 seeds in them.
By brendak654This is my home garden just out from the front porch. This was taken September 2010 when the lespedeza bushes were at their peak. The great white egrets were feasting on the minnows as the wetland was drying. As you can see the celosia and broomcorn were outstanding this year.

By MeehlticketMy new perennial and rose bed. This is a trial garden to discover, for myself, what varieties of plants grow in our southern Alabama zone 8b and 9a; really wet springs, hot and humid summers, dry falls, cold winters. I enjoy searching out new plant introductions from around the world.
By MeehlticketOur front bed with Juniper, Amaryllis, Fringe Tree seedlings, Sago Palm, Spirea, and Magnolia Tree. I have now planted Blood Lily and Jonquil bulbs among the Amaryllis for three waves of color.
