1/2 c. milk
1 slice bread
2 lbs. ground beef
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Part 2: Sauce
1 large can pineapple chunks, drained
1/2 c. chopped green peppers (chunks)
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. wine vinegar
1 1/4 pineapple juice, plus water
1/4 Tbsp. soy sauce
4 beef boullion cubes
1 tsp. Accent
Instructions
Part 1:
Pour milk over crumbled bread, add meat, egg, and seasonings. Mix well, form into small balls. Brown in oil, shake pan to help retain shape; place in saucepan.
Part 2:
Add pineapple, and green pepper to meatballs. In another pan, mix sugar, salt and cornstarch; add juice a little at a time, add vinegar, soy sauce, boullion and Accent. Heat to boiling, pour over meatballs; simmer 20 - 30 minutes.
Serve with steamed rice, or Chinese Noodles.
