2/3 cups vegetable oil
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups friendship starter (starter recipe is found in the bread catagory)
1 1/2 to 2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 350 deg.
Combine oil,sugar,eggs and vanilla and beat until light.
Add starter and beat until smooth.
Blend dry ingredients together and fold into starter mixture.
Pour into greased bundt pan and bake for 40-45 minutes.
Just before baking,fold in up to 2 cups chopped nuts, diced apple, or applesauce or raisins.
For a chocolate version, substitute 1/2 cup cocoa for cinnamon and nutmeg, and add any other ingredients of your own discretion.
Some possiblities are chocolate chips, chopped nuts,minced orange peel, and rum or mint extract.
