Braised Green Beans and Bamboo Shoots

Ingredients

3 Tbsp. oil
1 lb. green beans, broken in 2 inch pieces
1 c. sliced bamboo shoots
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
3/4 c. water

Instructions

Heat oil in saucepan; add beans. Cook over low heat 2 minutes; stirring almost constantly. Add bamboo shoots, salt, sugar, and water. Cook over low heat 10 minutes. Drain if necessary. Serves 4-6.
