Easy Fudge Frosting

  Ingredients  
4 squares ob Unsweetened baking chocolate
2 Tbsp. butter or marjarine
4 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla

  Instructions  
In the microwave or on top of the stove in double boiler;melt the chocolate and butter until smooth.
Stir in powdered sugar,vanilla and milk until smooth.
Let stand,if necessary until of spreading consistency,stirring occasionally.
Spread quickly(ADD: 2-3 Tbsp. of additional milk if frosting becomes too thick.)

  Extra Notes  
Makes about 2 1/2 cups or enough to frost the tops and sides of 2 (8-9 in.) layer cakes.

Have had this recipe in my file box for a number of years; but orginally came from another cookbook or a friend.
