Cream together 2/3 Cup Oleo with 2- 2/3 Cup Sugar
Beat in 4 eggs, 2 Cup Applesauce, and 2/3 Cup water.
Sift together 3-1/2 Cup Flour, 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder, 2 teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon Cloves.
Blend dry ingredients into applesauce mixture, add 2/3 Cup chopped nuts. (optional).
Pour into well greased wide mouth pint jar, only half full. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes.
Remove one jar at a time. Wipe ends clean and put on a dry lid and seal with ring screw tight.
Jar will seal as cake cools. Store with regular canned goods.
Makes 8 pint, can be used for camping, gifts,etc. Also handy if you have company and no dessert, Just open up
and serve....
