ORANGE RIPPLE CAKE

  Ingredients  
3 1/4 CUPS FLOUR
2 TSP BAKING POWDER
1/2 TSP SALT
1 CUP BUTTER OR MARGARINE
2 CUPS WHITE SUGAR
4 EGGS
2 TBSP GRATED ORANGE RIND
2 CUPS PLAIN YOGURT
2 TSP BAKING SODA
RIPPLE:
1/2 CUP WHITE SUGAR
2 TBSP COCOA
2 TSP CINNAMON
GLAZE:
2 CUPS ICING SUGAR
2 TBSP ORANGE JUICE
2 TBSP HOT WATER

  Instructions  
Preheat oven to 350 degrees, Grease and flour tube pan.

RIPPLE: Mix ingredients for ripple and set aside.

Combine dry ingredients, except baking soda. Cream butter, sugar, eggs and orange peel. Stir baking soda into yogurt. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with yogurt. Spread 1/2 of batter in pan. Sprinkle with ripple . Add remaining batter. Swirl with a knife to create ripple. Bake 70 to 80 minutes.
When cool glaze.
