Pepper Cheese Bread

1 package yeast
1/4 cup warm water
3 cups a.p. flour
1 tbsp sugar
2 tsp+ fresh ground black pepper
1/2 cup warm milk
2 tbsp butter, melted
1 large egg
1-1/2 cups shrp cheddar, grated

Combine yeast & water, stir til dissolved. Let stand 5-10 min.

In processor with metal blade, combine flour, sugar & pepper. Pulse several times to mix dry ingredients.

In seperate bowl, combine milk, butter & egg, stir well.

With processor running, pour yeast mixture & then milk mixture through tube. When dough has formed a ball, stop and add cheese. Pulse again for 15 seconds.

Turn dough onto floured surface and knead 1 minute. Place dough in warm, buttered bowl, coating all sides. Cover loosely and let rise 30 minutes.Punch down, form a loaf & place in 8X4-1/2 in. greased pan, or free form on stone round..Let rise 30 min. and bake 35 min. at preheated oven.
