The 2001 Dave's Garden Cookbook

Fish Chowder

  Ingredients  
1 lg onion, diced
3 lg potatoes, diced
c butter or marg.
1 bay leaf
1 c hot water
3 c milk
pepper to taste
1 lb fish fillets cut in bite size pieces (perch, haddock, or cod)
dash of onion powder
tsp dried dill weed
3 tsp chicken bouillon

  Instructions  
Saute onion and potatoes with bay leaf in butter for 15 minutes. Add water and cook for 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Add milk and fish. Cook until fish flakes easily. Add dill, bouillon and pepper. Heat thoroughly. Allow to cool and refrigerate overnight for best flavor.
