Houston's Baked Ham

  Ingredients  
Step 1.

12 - 14 lb. ham
ground cloves
ground allspice
dark brown sugar
vinager
whole cloves
pineapple slices

Step 2. Fruit Sauce

6 oz. ham drippings
1 can mandarin oranges
1 can pinapple tidbits
1 can sliced peaches
6 oz. raisins ( cooked with sugar to taste and 1/4 lemon)

  Instructions  
Step 1. Ham

Score entire ham; thoroughly rub hame with small amount of vinegar. Mix cloves, allspice, and brown sugar with water and vinegar to form a paste. Rub paste on ham and dot with whole cloves. Brown in a 450 degree oven for 40 minutes. Reduce heat to 300 and continue baking for about 3 hrs. Place pineapple rings on top for last hour of baking. Serve with Fruit Sauce.

Step 2. Fruit Sauce

Use all juices from above listed fruits, add small amount of ground cloves and cinnamon. Bring to a slow boil, and thicken slightly with cornstarch. Add red food coloring if desired. Serve over ham slices. 8 - 10 servings.
