1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 can crushed pineapple(20 oz.)
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 can cherry pie filling(20 oz.)
1 c. butter or oleo
Instructions
Use a 9"x13"x2" pan.
Dump in undrained pineapple,swirling it around to fill corners. Dump in pie filling and spread it to make even.
Sprinkle dry cake mix over the fruit to cover it all.
Melt butter and dribble over top. Sprinkle with nuts.
Bake at 350 degrees until browned-about 1 hr.
Allow to set for 2-3 hrs.
Serve with whipped cream or other topping.
Extra Notes
Variation: substitute nuts for one can of flaked coconut submitted by eyesoftexas.
