Spaghetti Carbonara With Green Peas

4 slices bacon, cut into small pieces
1 pound spaghetti
1 cup frozen peas, thawed
2 eggs
2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Chopped parsley (optional

in a small skillet, cook bacon over medium-high heat until browned. Remove with slotted spoon; drain on paper towels.

Cook spaghetti following package directions. Meanwhile, place peas in a colander. Drain spaghetti over peas; keep warm.

In a small bowl, lightly beat eggs with 1/3 cup of the cheese, oil, salt, and pepper. Return hot spaghetti and peas to pot.

Pour on egg mixture, cooked bacon, and the remaining 1/3 cup of the Parmesan cheese; toss until well combined. Serve immediately, garnished with parsley
