Grandma's Quick Frozen Coleslaw

1 large head cabbage, shredded
1 tsp. canning salt

Mix and let stand 1 hour. Squeeze out.

1 grated carrot 1 chopped green pepper
1/4 c. pimento

Make a syrup of:
2 c. sugar 1 tsp. mustard seed
1/4 c. water 1 c. vinegar
1 tsp. celery seed

Boil 1 minute and cool to lukewarm or cold before pouring over cabbage. Pack in freezer bags and place in freezer. Always cover cabbage with juice. Take out or use what you need. Cover and refreeze.
