I made one of these two winters ago out of left over fencing and wire that stands about 2' tall. It has held up so well, that I decided to try my hand on a larger one, since I had more left over fencing from a pen we had built.
It's really really hard on the hands, but it was fun in it's own way! He's about 6'3 tall to the top of his ears. I plan to put him on a small hill at the base of my goose pond, but for now he can wander the yard.

DH pointed out the glow surrounding him, and asked how I did it. I didn't!!
I guess it's just light bouncing off the many white surfaces?
