I have seen cicada killers every summer either chasing cicadas or dragging them to their nests. Last summer a cicada killer burrowed under our grill in the front yard and I often noticed the cicada killer taking in one dead cicada after another. A few summers ago I have seen cicadas flying through the air sending out their panic calls while being chanced by these cicada killers. They look quit menacing and aggressive toward humans, but I have read they rarely sting humans and are only focused on cicadas.
