The Columbia Silkmoth, is gorgeous, friendly and huge. Amazing colors appear as though they are painted on. What a lovely life to see in your yard or garden !!

Very interesting creature! This moth was first spotted last night on my porch on Barksdale Air Force Base (Bossier City, LA). It was the first night I had my bug zapper turned on, so I believe that's what ultimately attracted it. When I got up this morning to take the dog out, I noticed it was still there, just chillin'! Are these native to this area???
