Necrobia and Korynetes forms the subfamily Necrobiinae in Cleridae, that is classically considered as family (Necrobiidae), but in last times the authors seems to include it in Cleridae.
They eat only old and dried carrion. They can be found in old dead animals, not in fresh carrion.
