I was out in the garden on one of those days that was very photogenic, and had just completed taking some excellent pictures of neon skimmer- when this dragonfly perched right next to me. I haven't seen this type since. There are several neon skimmers that aggressively guard the yard, and particularly the ponds. In my book, all dragonflies get a positive rating.
