Flies all year in south Texas. Frequents scat and often times several gather communally on it. Visits flowers and perches with it's winged open. Males are dark brown with a purplish sheen and lighter spots. Female are a lighter brown and the markings are more visible.

Larval food plant: Lime Prickly-Ash Izanthoxylum) aka Colima.
