According to this North American Butterflies and Moths link, their range is in high elevations in the upper southwest area. It was a thrill to have one visit our gardens here in Lincoln, Nebraska since it was at least 500 miles out of it's range...Very Cool! http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/species?l=2010
