Small Copper (with a male Common Blue) in Suffolk, England, August 1969
Cute little butterfly about an inch long
Taken 11th September 06. Perched on a Mahonia leaf.
They like dry, sunny, unimproved meadows. This was in my neighbour's garden (rough patch!), but visited my flowers later.
They typically rest with wings half open.
On a wild mint flower in my garden in SW France. September 2007
Showing the underside of the wings. In my garden, July 2008
A tiny little beauty.
