Taken on 17th June 2008, Lincoln UK. There are many similar species of Lasioglossum. This is tiny, I see it ever year on my Delosperma ecklonis var. latifolia.
The tail end.
It dives head first into the middle of the stamens, coming out covered in pollen!
The flowers are quite small, approx. 25mm in diameter.
A more distant shot to give size impression. It seemed to prefer to visit the flowers which had self set in a sunnier spot.
